Questions about this product

Will this tool work with my Shimano or SRAM hydraulic brakes?: Yes, it works with standard hydraulic disc brake systems including Shimano, SRAM, Magura, and Tektro. It is designed for mineral oil systems and handles standard fittings like olives and barbed needles.
What size brake hoses can this tool cut?: This tool cuts standard braided or non-braided hydraulic hoses up to a 5.5mm outer diameter. The integrated press jaws have an opening of about 10 to 12mm to fit standard olives.
Do I need a separate tool to insert the needle barb into the hose?: No, this is a two-in-one tool. It uses a guillotine-style shear to cut the hose cleanly, then presses the barb and olive into place. You can complete the whole installation without swapping tools.
