- How many pins can I get in this connector?
- The PLS28 series comes in 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 16, 17, 20, 24, and 26 pin layouts. You pick the pin count that matches your wiring. All share the WS28 size 28 shell.
- How do the plug and socket connect and stay secure?
- It uses a threaded coupling, so the male plug screws onto the female socket for a locked, vibration-resistant fit. That threaded design also resists dust and water on the jobsite. You'll wire both the pin and socket halves.
- What wire size and current does each contact handle?
- Size 28 contacts typically suit 20 to 24 AWG wire and carry around 5 to 7.5 A each. The connector handles roughly 500 VAC/VDC for most uses. Confirm against your circuit before wiring.
