Match the pressure and temperature rating to your machine

Start with the rating, not the price. A gun or lance must handle at least the pressure and water temperature your washer produces. Ratings across the range differ a lot, so read the listing.

Lower-rated sets suit lighter duty machines. The higher-rated guns suit hot-water and heavy-duty units.

Check the inlet thread and lance connection before you buy

Most fit problems come from threads. The guns here use an M22 male inlet (M22x1.5) for a 14mm ID hose. The MV925 adds an M22-14mm inlet that swivels 360 degrees, which helps stop hose twist.

On the lance side, some guns have a G1/4 female thread. Others use a 1/4" quick connect, with an internal dimension of 11.6mm or 11.8mm depending on the listing. One extension lance is made for K2 to K7 series guns. Confirm your gun's connection first, then pick a pressure washer extension lance with the matching quick plug or socket.

Choose lance length, shape and spray type for the job

A telescopic or extending pressure washer lance isn't listed here, so pick a fixed length that fits the work. The listed lengths include 9cm, 20cm, 30cm, 40cm, 18.7cm and 42.8cm, plus a 16 inch extension on a lance and gun set with a 95.5cm / 37.59 inch overall length. For long reach lance needs, add a stainless extension between the gun and nozzle, as the two-ended 40cm lance does.

Curved lances in 30°, 90° or U shape reach under vehicles and around obstructions. Spray type matters too. The fan lance gives a 25° sector. The variable jet lance adjusts from 0 to 60 degrees. Other sets give a water column.

Pick body and fitting materials for the duty cycle

Bodies come in engineering plastic, alloy, nylon housing, and stainless steel with brass. Stainless steel shafts resist corrosion on wet, daily-use lances. Brass couplings and copper or alloy nozzles hold their threads under repeated connection.

Handle type is a comfort and control choice. Listings show finger grip, finger type, palm type and a finger trigger with safety lock. Check each listing for the exact materials before ordering.
