- Will these fittings work with any standard garden hose or only specific tubing?
- These fittings are specifically designed for micro tubing with a 1/4-inch inner diameter. They won't connect directly to a standard garden hose. You'll need a main distribution line or an adapter to connect your 1/4-inch lines to your outdoor faucet.
- Do I need any special tools or clamps to install these barbed connectors?
- You don't need any special tools or clamps to install these push-fit connectors. Simply push the tubing firmly over the sharp, angled barbs for a secure fit. Dipping the tubing ends in warm water first makes pushing them onto the barbs much easier. You can also use pliers if you need some extra grip.
- How much water pressure can these irrigation fittings handle before they leak or pop off?
- These connectors can handle a maximum system pressure of 850 kPa, which is about 123 PSI. The sharp barbed ends grip the inside of your tubing to prevent blowouts under pressure. For the best performance, keep your operating water temperature between 0°C and 50°C.
