Questions about this product

Does this pump come with a Makita battery?: No, the battery is not included. The pump runs on the Makita 18V platform, so you supply your own compatible 18V battery. You also add your own vacuum pump oil, since it holds about 300mL.
What jobs is this 7CFM pump meant for?: It's built to evacuate moisture and air from AC and refrigeration systems. People use it for mobile automotive AC repair, residential split and window units, and refrigerator or freezer line work. The 7CFM flow rate pulls down systems quickly.
How deep a vacuum can it pull?: It reaches an ultimate vacuum of 10 Pa or less, which is about 0.075 Torr. That's deep enough to properly dry out an AC system before charging. The brushless 1/2HP motor keeps it running under 65 dB(A).
