Choosing Your Format: Interlocking Tiles vs. Large Rolls

The first decision is the format of your matting. Interlocking tiles, available in materials like rubber and polypropylene, offer maximum flexibility. They are ideal for creating custom-sized or -shaped floor surfaces in areas like workshops, gyms, or showrooms. Since each tile can be replaced individually, maintenance is simple and cost-effective if a small section becomes damaged.

For covering large, rectangular spaces quickly, a rubber floor or PVC roll is more efficient. Products like our 157" x 59" PVC rolls minimize seams and provide a uniform surface. This format is well-suited for long walkways, garage floors, and production areas. For specialized uses like vehicle interiors, custom-fitted TPE mats provide complete coverage without trimming.

Selecting a Material: Rubber, PVC, or Polypropylene

Material choice dictates the mat's performance. Natural rubber offers excellent anti-slip properties and impact absorption, making it a prime choice for heavy-duty industrial matting in gyms or work zones where weights or tools may be dropped.

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a durable polymer known for its resistance to chemicals, oils, and grease, making it a practical choice for garage and maintenance bay flooring. It is commonly available in rolls.

Polypropylene (PP) is a rigid and lightweight plastic used for interlocking grid tiles. These tiles are strong, weigh around 0.5kg each, and allow liquids and debris to fall through, maintaining a clear and dry surface. This makes them suitable for showrooms, wash bays, and workshops.

Matching Thickness and Design to Your Application
