Base Material and Substrate Compatibility

Anchor performance depends directly on the base substrate. Installing into solid masonry requires different load mechanisms than anchoring into lightweight or hollow structures.

For hollow partition wall, ceiling plaster, and drywall assemblies, select cavity anchors or spring toggle fixings that spread retention force behind the board face. Solid ground foundation work and structural wood framing demand rigid, direct-engagement fasteners like cylinder cap head socket bolts or full-length threaded rods.

• Hollow wall, drywall, and ceiling: Use cavity wall ties, spring toggle styles, or wall plug systems designed to grip hollow spaces.
• Solid substrates and ground foundation: Deploy M3 to M8 hex socket cap bolts or continuous M3 to M12 threaded studs.
• Lightweight wire and pipe runs: Utilize nylon mounting ties with integrated screw holes for direct substrate attachment.

Material Selection for Site Environments

Specifying the right alloy or polymer prevents galvanic reaction and structural failure over the service life of the building.

We stock metallic building fixings in 304 stainless steel and 304 A2-70 stainless steel for high tensile strength and rust resistance in damp settings or exhaust wrap assemblies. For internal cable management, wire organization, and lightweight mounting, nylon and nylon plastic provide vibration resistance. Select nylon ties carry a 94V-2 flammability rating for electrical safety compliance.

Thread Sizing, Dimensions, and Retention Profiles

Match fastener diameter and length strictly to the calculated shear and pullout forces of your application. Thread pitch and bolt diameter directly govern allowable mechanical loading.

Our threaded rod stock runs from M3 to M12 with continuous lengths from 16-500mm, allowing custom cut-to-length anchoring in foundations. Cap head bolts span standard metric thread sizes including M1.6, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, and M8. When securing services across open spans, stainless steel ties with widths of 4.6mm, 7mm, or 7.9 mm deliver rigid self-locking retention.

• Thread reinforcement: M1.6 to M24 helical bushing sleeves to restore stripped internal threads in metalworking.
