6 products available
Industrial electrical supplies provide the components needed to safely house, connect, and protect electrical systems in professional environments. This category includes a focused range of trade electrical supplies, primarily centered on enclosures and junction boxes designed for demanding applications. We serve engineers, technicians, and MRO buyers who require reliable components for manufacturing, automation, and outdoor installations.
Our selection is built around proven materials and specifications. You will find enclosures in durable ABS, high-impact PC, and corrosion-resistant aluminium, including explosion-proof options. With ingress protection ratings up to IP67, these components ensure waterproof and dust-tight performance. Compel provides access to industrial-grade electrical supplies that meet the specific environmental and safety demands of your project, backed by clear technical data for confident selection.

Choosing the right material is the first step in specifying an enclosure. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a common, cost-effective thermoplastic that provides good protection in a wide range of industrial settings. It resists impacts and many chemicals, making it suitable for general-purpose indoor or outdoor use.
For applications requiring higher impact resistance, consider Polycarbonate (PC). It offers superior toughness and can operate in a wider temperature range than ABS. When your project demands maximum physical protection, electromagnetic shielding, or use in hazardous areas, an aluminium enclosure is the correct choice. Our range includes die-cast aluminium boxes, some specified as explosion-proof, that provide the highest level of durability.
The Ingress Protection (IP) rating defines how well an enclosure protects against solids and liquids. This is a key specification for any commercial or industrial electrical supply that will be exposed to the elements or washdown procedures. The first digit indicates protection against solids, like dust (where a 6 is dust-tight). The second digit indicates protection against water.
Our catalogue includes enclosures with IP66 and IP67 ratings. An IP66 rating certifies protection against powerful jets of water, suitable for equipment that is regularly hosed down. An IP67 rating means the enclosure can be temporarily submerged in water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes. Your choice depends entirely on the foreseeable environmental exposure at the installation site.
Properly sizing an electrical enclosure prevents installation issues and equipment failure. Start by calculating the total volume of your internal components, such as DIN rails, terminal blocks, power supplies, and PCBs. As a rule, add at least 25% additional space to accommodate wiring, ensure proper bend radius for cables, and allow for air circulation to dissipate heat.
Also, consider the entry and exit points for your wiring. Some junction boxes come with pre-molded knockouts, while others have smooth walls for drilling custom entry holes. For a secure, waterproof seal, plan to use appropriate cable glands, which are sometimes included. Always confirm the internal usable dimensions on the product datasheet, as wall thickness will reduce the available space.
